wrote on 28th September 2011 into the guestbook of this apartment ... | Rating: 4 of 4 | Great location; when you travel, that is important : the brand new U-Bahn station is
right in front of the house (not even across the street), the straßbahn is at the corner,
across the street, and both will take you to the Innere Stadt in a matter of minutes.
And if you wish to walk : 15 minutes at the max and you're across the Danube. You're
also 5 minutes from the Folks Prater.
But that is not all what it takes : the appartment was very clean, with comfortable
furniture, enough closet space and sufficient houseware (at least for two). No bugs or
other insects, not even foul smell. The living/dining room is large : you can open your
maps wide and rest your weary feet all at once. Also, a Spar grocery store is just
steps away and well supplied.
Nothing is perfect though : the kitchen counter is almost non-existant - fancy chefs will
have to shrink their menus. It is announced as a climatised appartment : this means
ventilator and open windows. Also, light sleep people could be annoyed by the nearby
U-Bahn station's relentless announcements and it's clientele's wehereabouts.
Little warning : washing machine's front pannel instructions are in german only : asking
the landlors how to use it will save you some precious visiting time.
And you can add more to your stay : the restaurant downstairs serves an incredible
dish : a liver à la Tyrol. Viennese make great beers and wine. And most of all, when
you manage to place a little "bitte" and "danke" here an there, you will discover how
kind and forwarding these reserved-looking people truly are. And kindness was
peculiarly true of the landlords.
Last words : we picked on this place because it's location in a non touristic section of
the city : meaning we were going to mingle with the "real" viennese - and we did,
without any trouble or fear but with great delight. |

The restaurant Zur Reblaus downstairs serves very good food for a very reasonable price. Great service and very friendly people, we absolutely loved our stay here. |
