3D PicArt Museum - the crazy photo fun in the heart of Vienna
What is real? And what is staging? What do you think you see, is it really true? Or is everything a big illusion? These questions are the focus of the 3D Pic Art Museum, Vienna's first 3D TrickArt attraction. Because here illusion, staging and reality meet. A crazy photo fun in the heart of Vienna.
I had the amazing opportunity to chat with Clemens and Ami, the two founders and operators of the museum, and to tour the museum with them. Ami was also so nice to accompany me with the camera, so today you can find quite a lot of photos of myself on the blog.
The stage is yours ...
A total of around 40 stations or motifs are waiting for you. On the way on a flying carpet, just barely escaping the crocodile, balancing on the Viennese Ferris Wheel, on the cover of the "in-house" magazine, on the rocket through space, and much, much more .. All this you can experience here and you are perfectly set in scene. A museum in which photography is absolutely desired, yes it is even the main focus. Because the effect only arises on the photo itself. At first glance, it may be "just" pictures on the wall and on the floor. But in the photo then the scene that could not be more plastic arises. The motifs themselves have an elaborate and long development process behind them, from the special graphic artist to the artist, where intensive collaboration takes place.
There is no limit and no timeframe for how long you stay in the museum. Experience the moment, have fun trying out the crazy and unusual and above all enjoy the time together with your family, friends, company, ... experience something completely new together. Laughing, participating, trying out, having fun, romping is absolutely desirable in this museum. Silently and devoutly standing in front of a painting, far from it.
Can you come alone to the museum? Of course, as then Ami, Clemens or one of the other team members come with you and put you in the spotlight. Fun and good mood are here on the program. By the way, you will receive all the pictures afterwards.
Until the opening ...
About 1.5 years ago, inspired by similar museums in other cities, Clemens had the idea to bring a TrickArt Museum to Vienna. But the way to the opening was long and offered some official hurdles. But Clemens and Ami did not give up and continued to pursue their ingenious idea. And so you have the opportunity to question reality in this unique museum.
Because what is real? And what is staging?
.... and now it really starts.
Because ideas for the further development, new motives, and much more Clemens and Ami have already. So you can be curious, what else will be there. A bit of that Clemens already told me, but the rest remains a secret.
But the offer is not only aimed at Vienna visitors and curious Viennese. Even for school classes, the museum has a great all-round offer. Because the children should be shown here in a playful way how photos can emerge and what is really behind it. It is about making aware of how media works and what means are used. Similarly, the children should be taught in a relaxed way, how they express emotions and how they represent themselves.
