In the 16th district of Vienna, there is a lot to discover and do, whether alone or in a group, you will have a wonderful day.
At the beginning of the day, it is a great idea to have breakfast at "Café Ritter Ottakring". The breakfast menu looks delicious and has a varied selection. I especially like that there is a vegan and a vegetarian breakfast too, so there is something for everyone. In addition, most of the menu items are regional and seasonal. Many of the products (including meat products) even come from the 16th district. The café can be found at Ottakringer Straße 117.
From the café you can easily reach the Brunnenmarkt on foot, which together with Yppenplatz is the second largest market in Vienna. There you will find many different spices, vegetables, fresh fish and some restaurants. And the atmosphere there is simply amazing.

If you want to take a break in between and get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, you should choose the “Jubiläumswarte”. The 12-meter-high viewing platform is an ideal place to take a break and switch off for a while.
If you´re hungry after that, you can visit the "Dolce Lago". The classic Italian cuisine is close to Yppenplatz, in Prayergasse 10.
Ottakring is well known for its brewery, something you can even smell on some days. There you can sign up for guided tours of at least ten people, but you can also make an appointment by yourself, for a so-called "open date", which means that you get a tour with other people. The guided tours are from Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 05:30pm. It should also be mentioned that you should make the appointment at least three days before the visit.

To end the day, go to "The Loft", Lerchenfelder Gürtel 37. "The Loft" is not an ordinary club, because it's a bar, concert hall, club and a flea market location all in one. If you're lucky, a music event or maybe a poetry slam will take place in the evening. If you prefer it quieter, you can go upstairs to the "Loft Café".
