Viennese restaurant week winter 2018

In the week from February 19th to 25th, gourmet friends can explore and enjoy the top gastronomy of Vienna again as part of the Viennese restaurant week. During these days, the best chefs in the city show their delicious work with specially created menus.

Marc Klein of the organizing team tells you now more about the restaurant week.

This year, the Viennese restaurant week starts on the 19th of February in the next round. The gourmet event invites you to 100 different top restaurants. With an increase of 20% of the participating restaurants, compared to the previous year, this is not only a record, but also provides a large wide variety of food and tastes.

There are no changes in the price: For a whole week, you can indulge in a 2-course lunch menu for EUR 14.50 or a 3-course dinner for EUR 29.50. From two hoods on, some restaurants allow themselves at noon a surcharge of 5 euros and in the evening of 10 euros per additional hood.

On the website you can directly book a table and there you will also find the reviews of the restaurants of the past restaurant week.

Award-winning chefs offer a great deal

Chefs like Toni Mörwald, Michael Böhm from the "Landgasthaus Böhm", Juan Amador from "Amador's Wirtshaus", Hiroshi Sakai from the restaurant "Sakai", Manuel Gratzl from the "Bristol Lounge", Erich Freund from the restaurant "Émile", Jakob Ehrensberger from "Die Küche Wien", Felix Albiez from the restaurant "Das Schick" and many more, are happy to cook for you.

Delicious dishes such as mussels, glazed duck breast, fried octopus, stewed pork, fish like smoked trout or halibut, as well as local, either classic (corn chicken breast) or exciting interpret (pheasant breast in the turnip nest) are offered. Many restaurants also offer a vegetarian menu. You can read this in the menus or filter out directly at the reservation.
