As the oldest of Vienna’s districts, dating back to the Roman ages, it has found a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The grand pedestrian shopping streets Graben and Kärntner Straße join at the central St. Stephen’s Square (Stephansplatz), where locals and tourists alike come together to enjoy the historic sights, browse through one of the many fashion stores, relish in a traditional Melange and Sacher cake in one of the famous Viennese coffee houses, or just stroll through the winding side streets and take in the Viennese atmosphere.

Some of Vienna’s most note-worthy sights, such as the Hofburg Palace complex, City Hall and St. Stephen’s Cathedral are just 15 minutes of walking away. Lovers of arts, sciences, and imperial collections can enjoy a trip to the Fine Arts Museum (Kunsthistorisches Museum), Natural History Museum (Naturhistorisches Museum), Albertina Museum or Imperial Treasury (Kaiserliche Schatzkammer). The apartment is only 7-minute-walk from Schwedensplatz station, allowing guests to access to metro lines U1 and U4, as well as tramlines 1, 2 and the tourists’ Ring Tram. These connections make Vienna’s famous sights along the Ring road of the old city as well as attractions such as Prater Musement park become assessable. Everything was fine, location great, next to Schwedenplatz. Although a lot of bars are located in the street, we could sleep very well. Unfortunately there were only three keys, so we had a lot to check where the keys are.

- Große, helle, eigentlich sehr schöne Wohnung in sehr zentraler Lage, aber nicht in Top Premium Qualität wie angepriesen
- 100% relativ neue IKEA-Einrichtung, teilweise aber schon klapprig
- Gut ausgestattete Küche
- Bad und Toilette sind recht abgenutzt oder reparaturbedürtig (z.B. Duschhalterung und Deckenlicht kaputt, Toilettenschüssel wackelt)
- Bettdecken und Kopkissen sind von mäßiger Qualität und die Bettwäsche war teilweise fleckig
- Nachts ist es durch die Kneipen unmittelbar vor der Tür sehr laut, schlafen ging nur mit Ohrstöpsel
- Wer nach Wien kommt, um das Nachtleben zu geniesen und spät ins Bett kommt, ist hier gut untergebracht. ;-)
